Miller and Sharp return from a tour of the Midwest with a crayon rubbing of a New Radiant Storm King early-20th century furnace that they saw in the Minneapolis crash pad for the band Run Westy Run. They return, rubbing in hand, and decided to ditch the sophomores and their gothic pretensions to form their own band with two other musicians they knew from their entering class.
