NRSK returns from tour a little worse for the wear. They play a Grass showcase in NYC with lablemates the Wrens, Hippopotamus, Baboon and Old Man. Although they don't know it at the time, this will be their last official gig with Sharp.
That same night after the show, the band records Guided by Voices' "I am a Scientist" for a split single with GBV who in turn cover NRSK's "The Opposing Engineer (Sleeps Alone)".
