After mixing is completed, the studio bill has yet to be paid. After several assurances by Homestead that the check is "in the mail", the band begins to worry as much time passes. Something is clearly wrong at the Homestead office and no one is being forthright about the situation. Tim O'Heir puts the whole tab on his credit card with the promise of reimbursement.
Having recently moved from Homestead to new sibling company Grass Records, Camille Sciarra suggests the band release AUGUST REVITAL on Grass who could get them a check immediately. Since their contract is actually with Duth East India/L.S.R. Records, nothing would change on paper. Faced with being in debt to O'Heir or joining the new and uncertain Grass, the band takes the money.
