Pinkerton and Hunter graduate from Hampshire College. They also record AUGUST REVITAL with Boston producer Tim O'Heir (Sebadoh, Come, Belly, Green Magnet School etc.) at the Outpost in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Sugar had just finished recording at the studio days before and NRSK marveled that they would be using the same toilet that Bob Mould had been on.
The tracking goes well but a division in songwriting is more evident than ever. Always walking the fine line between pop melodies and angular music, NRSK seems to be all over the map on AUGUST REVITAL.
