In the eleventh hour, NRSK gets Patrick Berkery to play drums. They are able to only rehearse once on the night before they are scheduled to record. In three days they complete the basic tracks and spend the rest of the month adding vocals and overdubs with Miller.
In July they mix fourteen songs at Slaughterhouse and begin shopping the untitled album. A drummer is again needed. Because of Berkery's prior commitments to The Pernice Brothers and his other band The Bigger Lovers it was always agreed that he would be only recording with the band and that they would need to find someone else to play out with.
In mid-July J.J. O'Connell joins NRSK and once again they are back in business. Playing out on a semi-regular basis resumes and the band focuses on getting the new record into the right hands.
